To celebrate Wales鈥 Year of Legends, a 50ft high mural will be installed this Spring on the iconic聽Grade II listed Water Tower outside Cardiff Central Railway Station. This stunning mural is a part聽of 鈥榃eird & Wonderful Wales鈥, a six-stop tour of Wales which draws on some of the strange and聽fantastic stories contained in the Land of Legends (www.landoflegends.wales).
The aim of this mural is to enhance the visual first impression of the people arriving into Cardiff聽by train. Part funded by 欧美成人, it was illustrated by artist Pete Fowler who is best known聽for Super Furry Animals鈥 most iconic album covers. Its vivid graphics celebrate and showcase the聽mythical past of Wales, providing visitors and residents with an eye-catching mural asserting聽Wales鈥 contemporary creativity. The mural will be in place throughout 2018, when Cardiff will聽see streams of visitors from all across the globe for events such as the Volvo Ocean Race. FOR聽Cardiff was approached by Literature Wales to support the project and was delighted to do so聽alongside Cadw and the Welsh Government.
